Today, I had a first collaborative meeting with David Indge, student of Film and Video, based at EPIC. The collaborations begins…
I gave a cd-r to David with the current collection of the different Quicktime-films. In addition to that I wrote out a kind of sound-script, an enumeration of the different activities and machine parts moving and rotating in the films.

We decided that he starts with a first research and sound-search with the help of this list and the films. And as the timing and the rhythm of the films is not finalised yet, we will start with a quite broad and general research for proper sounds.
Our next meeting is going to take place in about one week. Enough time for David to collect sound-examples and get a first idea about possible compositions. And for me, it is time to get an idea about the final timing and action-flow of the films, so we can start to create first soundtrack-layers as soon as possible.
