110 // MSN2 / Research / Machine Age
Although this entry is placed in the MSN2-section, I started to create this document while doing research for the set up and moodboard of the Industrial Palace cabinet for the MDA3-Unit, having a closer look at the Machine age of the 20s, 30s and 40s.
By this, I came across some great architects and designers who depicted a fantastic world of geometrically simplified, complex and at the same time purified and above all beautiful images and drawings of dark cities, huge buildings and urban or industrial landscapes.
This pdf-file is quite large, but full of interesting artwork by people like for example Louis Lozowick, Hugh Ferriss or Charles Sheerer. And I hope that I can use their ideas and visual imagination to set up my own city-like machinery in a similar style and structure for the final MA-project.
