By accident I found this illustration of a human brain, separated in different sections of behaviour, rational and emotional control.I am not quite sure about the author, as this image isn’t credited properly (although used quite a lot in the internet), but I think it was created by Samuel R. Wells in 1870 for his book “How to Read Character”.
