164 // MA-P / Research / Alex Dragulescu

While thinking about how to place my work in the exhibition space, I developed a series of different ideas and possible approaches to that question. One of these ideas is to project not only on a clean, straight surface, but on different shapes and objects. By this I could create new and unexpected angles and projected forms and motion graphics. Thereby, I came across these sculptures called Spam Architecture. A series of objects that are generated by a computer program that accepts as input junk email. Various patterns, keywords and rhythms found in the text are translated into three-dimensional modeling gestures and objects.
