394 // MSN1 / Stefan Sagmeister

Also at the Offset conference I had the chance to briefly talk to Stefan Sagmeister about one of his pieces, the Chaumont poster. In the festival catalogue there was just an abstract of the full poster, so that I immediately thought about the Industrial Palace. Stefan Sagmeister told me that he didn’t have Fritz Kahn’s work in mind while doing this, but nevertheless I think there are at least some visual similarities. Have a look:

Chaumont
This poster for our exhibit in Chaumont, France features all the people who had a significant influence on our work. They were all handpainted by tourist illustrators found in New York’s Central park.
