067 // MA Elective // Step 08 / Research-Links

daxma_logo_smallMy approach and way of research for the redesign of the daxma-website was characterized by focussing on sites related to the field of flash-design and information-design in general. I was looking for websites with a clear and structured bodywork as this was my aim for the new redesign. And as the project was quite focussed and the timetable rather compressed, the research for this Unit was not that far-reaching, but at least I found some helpful sites:

http://www.visualcomplexity.com/vc
VisualComplexity.com intends to be a unified resource space for anyone interested in the visualization of complex networks. This website is a good starting-point if you’re interested in web-design.

http://www.kindnessandhumility.com
Kindness and Humility is the work of award-winning designer Chris Erickson, based in Portland, Oregon. Simple and clear with nice animated transitions and motion graphics.

http://www.aaronjasinski.com/oldsite.html
Keep it simple! This artist/designer found a way to present lots his varying projects with the help of a proper system… and a pleasant animation-flow between the different sections.

http://carlosflorez.com
Another way of presenting lots of videos…

http://www.urbansilo.com
Enjoyable and nice design. A brilliant way of designing and communicating information.

http://www.varywell.com
Fascinating navigation. Probably a little bit too much of techniques and layouts as it is a very complex website…

http://www.neave.com
Madness… but a huge creative pool for funny and playful experiments with Flash and Design.
And a similar colour-code for the different sub-categories…
